Trips I'm leading - Montana (Sept.), Costa Rica (Oct.) and Thailand (Nov.). 2014 - Peru, Africa and Bhutan. Reed Hoffmann is a Kansas City-based photographer who leads photo workshops and does editorial, portrait and commercial work.
I got started in photography in high school, then after college worked at newspapers in Evansville, IN (my hometown), Birmingham, AL and Rochester, NY. Helping take our paper all-digital in 1997, I then left Rochester in 2000 to move to Kansas City and start a business helping newspapers and other organizations convert to digital photography. In 2003 I joined Blue Pixel, a photo education and consulting company, where my major responsibility is creating the curriculum for and teaching Nikon School of Photography classes across the U.S. I also lead hands-on photography workshops around the world and do assignment work around Kansas City.
